Hello again!
It's another beautiful day here in sunny Tel Aviv!
Just got back from taking out our two dogs, Tommy (black lab/ whippet mix) and LuLu (terrier mix, very cute).  It was a lot of work to get them here from the stats, but it was all worth it.  They are so much company!  I just love them both so much!  Since I've never had kids, they are my babies!  And yes, they are spoiled!  Isn't that what pets are for? :)
Besides writing this blog to ward off boredom, I also go to the beach a lot (I have a tan for the first time in 14 years [I gave up tanning when I turned 35, didn't want to speed up the ageing process of my skin], and I'm back in a bikini! [got hit on by a very cute, 25 year old,  Israeli guy last week!  what a nice boost to my ego!] .
I've also been getting in a lot of sewing!  I love to sew, and with the wonderful assortment of fabrics here (just totally awesome), I'm in sewers paradise!  I'm going to start posting pictures of things that I've made, so please have a look if you want!
Well, I need to go get dressed, and I hear my sewing machine calling!
Have a super day!

Introduction

Hello from Tel Aviv, and welcome to  dorieG!
This is a way to stave off my boredom while living here in this wonderful city.  Bored, you say, in Tel Aviv?   I know, I know, but after having worked all my adult life since graduating college in 1986 (go Ball State!), not working for the first time in my life, is well, something very different for me.
Having been married for almost 2 years, and relying on a man for financial support, has been well, challenging and sort of scary to say the least . I always thought I could be a "Kept woman", but this experience has shown me otherwise.  I guess that is a good thing.
How does that saying go?  "Worry about nothing, pray about everything" or something like that, has become my mantra over the past few months.  Because, let's face it, the control of very little is in our hands.  So, I'm relying on God to watch out for my best interest.  So, why am I still scared?  Any thoughts from anyone?
